Our approach

As a major player at the heart of technology, Mersen is a committed partner to the companies that drive the industry forward and shape a more sustainable society.

Aware that its social and environmental impact must be constantly measured, evaluated and analyzed in order to be better managed, the Group has established a cross-segment CSR policy for all its employees and adapted to all levels of the organization.

Contribution to UN Sustainable Development Goals

Mersen has identified policies and practices within its operations that make a direct or indirect contribution to United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

2022-2025 CSR Roadmap

The Group has plotted out a new roadmap defining its CSR priorities for the 2022-2025 period. It is based on an analysis of the main non-financial risks and opportunities using a materiality matrix.

The CSR strategy is an integral part of the Group’s strategy. It is implemented under the responsibility of the Board of Directors. The Group’s Executive Committee supports the CSR strategy and oversees its implementation. To that end, it calls on several bodies.

Governance and implementation of the CSR policy

We support the UN Global Compact

A signatory of the United Nations Global Compact since 2009, Mersen has undertaken to promote its ten universal principles related to human rights, labor, the environment and the fight against corruption.

Since 2021, Mersen is at the Advanced level of the Global Compact. Through the GC Advanced level, the Global Compact Office recognizes companies that strive to be top reporters and declare that they have adopted and report on a broad range of best practices in sustainability governance and management.

Respecting human rights and labor standards, protecting the environment, and combating corruption are core commitments for the Group.
